On Monday January 7th I received a call form a friend of mine telling me that a wonderful man we both knew had died. I first met Jim when we worked together in Tesco. We hit it off straight away to a mutual love of motor bikes - I loved riding on the back of my Dad's and Jim rode himself. The more I got to know Jim the more he reminded me of a close family friend of mine called Francis. Jim was like the male version of her and I knew they would hit it off too. So I called Francis and told her that I worked with a guy called Jim that she should meet. She asked me what he was like and I explained that he had a great sense of humour, loved bikes and animals and was one of the nice guys. She then asked me what he looked like and I described him as looking like the wrestler "Stone Cold Steve Austin" and she said she wanted to meet him. So A few weeks later Jim and I jumped on his bike and met up with Francis. The rest they say is history! The met, they fell in love, they got married, had a baby and then Jim got sick. He was diagnosed with Leukaemia. He has been fighting since his son was a baby and on Sunday January 6th his body finally gave up. He was clear of the cancer but the radiation had affected him so much his liver and lungs were damaged beyond repair. Jim was an amazing man and will be sorely missed.
Come and take a peek at my life, loving, laughing, crying, crafting, knitting and baking!!!!

The blur of busy needles!
Well as you can see from the title I have been busy knitting! With my friend Anna being pregnant I wanted to get some cute handmade stuff made for her and the baby. At the time I was knitting we didn't know if baby Lynch was a boy or a girl because Billy and Anna had decided to wait till they came along. I can tell you now that they had a beautiful baby girl on December 23rd who they have named Juno.
Here's what I made:
A knitted Kerchief Dribble Bib
A gender neutral crocheted Ripple Blanket
The worlds softest Blanket Bob (knitted with Cupcake Yarn)
The Puerperium Cardigan girl version (I made 1 in girl colours and 1 in boy)
Close up on the buttons
Moss Edge Close up
I have given all of these to Anna but I think Juno is too small to fit them yet. I will take some pictures of her in them for you to see.
