I currently have 2 baby ripple blankets for babies due in the next few weeks so am trying to crack on with them, however I received some yummy yummy yarn in a swap parcel and have decided to make a start on a new project:

Also last month I received the 2nd yarn pack that I ordered to try and continue with my giant granny stripe blanket, I have done a few more rows but Im reluctant to get too involved because I know when the yarn runs out I will have to order and then wait for the next one.
I have 2 giant granny square blankets also on the go. One is a aran/chunky yarn one that is just being made with scraps that I have lying about and the other is also from scraps but is a double knit weight one. I honestly believe that these blankets ewill never be finished as I always seem to have a little bit left over from my projects. I love looking at the blanket and seeing little bits of yarn that have been used on other projects, it takes me back to the actual project making, i get to reminisce and remember them all.
I have been desperate to get my hands on a cake stand. Whilst visiting my Mum over easter there is a beautiful little shop that sell all sorts of beautiful home stuffs and I looked in ther for one but they were between £20 and £30 and there is no way I can justify that kind of money on a cake stand! However, when we had a day trip with my Nan to Maidstone we popped into Robert dyes and I got a 2 tier one reduced to £6.99 and a single stand for £5.99. They were end of line stuff left over but I couldnt resist and brought them:

Arent they beautiful, and they were perfect at the coffee morning!
